About the Role

As Bar Manager, you will be the face of the bar, reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager. You will lead all bar operations, inspiring and developing a high-performing team while delivering exceptional guest experiences. Working alongside passionate professionals, you will champion a brand renowned for its excellence, authenticity, and innovation, ensuring every guest interaction reflects our commitment to outstanding service, premium beverages, and memorable moments..   

A little taste of your day-to-day

• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the bar, ensuring service standards, presentation, compliance and guest satisfaction are consistently achieved.

• Manage rostering, labour costs, payroll and staffing levels to support operational requirements and financial targets.

• Monitor beverage quality, inventory, stock control and purchasing processes to maximise profitability and minimise wastage.

• Handle guest feedback professionally and resolve issues in line with company standards.

• Drive sales through product knowledge, upselling initiatives, promotions, events and beverage programs.

• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, liquor licensing and company policies.

• Analyse operational and financial performance, identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions.

• Lead, develop and motivate a high-performing team through recruitment, onboarding, coaching, training and performance management.

• Foster a positive workplace culture that promotes engagement, recognition, career development and teamwork.

What we need from you

• You must have a valid and unrestricted visa to work in Australia (sponsorship is not available for this role)

• Previous experience in a Food & Beverage/Restaurant & Bars related position in a supervisory/management capacity

• WSET qualification (or equivalent wine and beverage certification) preferred, with a strong passion for wine, spirits and beverage education.

• Qualifications in Hotel Management and/or Food & Beverage related field preferred

• Excellent interpersonal skills. Bilingual or multilingual language skills are advantageous  

• Valid RSA Competency Card  

• Flexibility to work a 24/7 rotating roster – nights, weekend and public holiday shifts are all part of the job
