About the role
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established supplier to the building industry in a hands-on workshop role. Working alongside an experienced team, the successful applicant will receive on-the-job training while developing valuable skills in timber machining and manufacturing. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in doing a quality job, and is looking to build a long-term career.
Support the timber machining workshop by assisting production, handling materials, operating machinery with training provided, and contributing to a safe, efficient and productive team environment.
Assist machinists with daily production activities
Prepare, cut, stack and feed timber through machinery
Operate workshop equipment following training
Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop
Assist with loading, unloading and general workshop duties
A strong work ethic and reliable attendance
3+ years work experience ideally in a related role
Enjoyment of hands-on, physically active work
Basic experience using hand and power tools
A current driver's licence and reliable transport
Full Australian working rights with unrestricted work eligibility (applications requiring visa sponsorship or temporary working holiday visas cannot be considered)
