Technology Safety Assessor – Protective Group
Melbourne Metro | Full-time | On the road
Protective Group carries out technology and property safety assessments for people referred through family-violence and support services, as well as private clients.
This is a field role. You will be out most days doing the assessments — houses, vehicles and devices — then completing the job in our system.
What you will do
Attend scheduled assessments across Melbourne metro, elsewhere in Victoria, and interstate as required
Conduct house, vehicle and device sweeps using company equipment
Complete property and technology safety assessments in line with our procedures
Deliver, install and demonstrate personal safety devices to clients
Record photographs and notes to the required standard and submit completed jobs the same day
Work in a trauma-informed way with clients and referring agencies — calm, discreet, and respectful of people’s safety, dignity and choices
Support clients to understand the assessment and any recommended next steps without pressure
Maintain the company vehicle and equipment, and follow on-site safety requirements at all times
Who this suits
Organised, reliable and able to complete each job to a consistent standard, including accurate records
Comfortable attending private residences and working with clients in sensitive circumstances
Able to work independently in the field, with support available from the office
Confident using specialist equipment and completing digital job sheets on a phone or tablet
A clear, professional communicator who can explain the process in plain language
What we need
Training on our equipment and process is provided
Hold, or be prepared to obtain, a Victorian Private Security Individual Operator Licence with the relevant activities (including Security Adviser and, where required, Security Equipment Installer)
Be prepared to obtain any equivalent interstate licences required for work outside Victoria
Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
Ability to obtain a police check
Full driver’s licence and a satisfactory driving record
Full working rights in Australia
