About the role:

• Full-time fixed term position to October 2027, located in Campbelltown NSW
• Base annual rate $85,308 to $93,159 negotiable based on experience and qualifications

At Uniting, we're looking for a compassionate and dedicated Caseworker to join our CAFS Family Support team, working alongside children, young people and families facing complex challenges. This is an opportunity to make a genuine difference every day by empowering families, strengthening parenting capacity, and helping create positive outcomes that can last a lifetime.

As a Caseworker, you'll work directly with families to identify their strengths, build resilience, and support their goals for wellbeing and safety. You'll provide targeted and intensive support to families, helping them navigate challenges, connect with services, and create nurturing environments where children can thrive.

No two days are the same. One day you might be supporting a parent to build confidence and practical parenting skills, and the next you'll be advocating for a family, facilitating access to community supports, or helping develop a pathway toward long-term stability and success.

What you’ll be doing:

• Work collaboratively with families experiencing complex challenges.
• Deliver strengths-based, culturally responsive casework services.
• Support child safety, wellbeing and positive family outcomes.
• Conduct family assessments and develop child-focused goals.
• Build strong relationships with children, parents, carers and community services.
• Advocate for families and connect them with appropriate supports.
• Assist with parenting groups and supported playgroups.
• Be part of a passionate team committed to early intervention and positive change.

Your Qualifications & Experience

• A qualification in Social Work, Social Sciences, Community Services or a related discipline.
• Experience working with children, young people and families.
• An understanding of child protection, family wellbeing and early intervention principles.
• Strong communication, assessment and case management skills.
• Demonstrate cultural competence and experience working respectfully alongside First Nations families and children, understanding the importance of culture, connection to Country, kinship networks and community in achieving positive outcomes.
• Have experience supporting families from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds, using culturally responsive, trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches to build trust and engagement.
• A current driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout the service area.
• A current NSW WWCC
