About the role
Brisbane | Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days remote | Strong OTE + uncapped commission
Ready to take your B2B sales career somewhere different? We’re looking for an experienced B2B salesperson who knows how to grow accounts, win new business and build relationships that last.
You might currently be selling technology, recruitment, professional services, workforce solutions, healthcare or another B2B service.
Your industry background matters less to us than your ability to sell.
You’ll join an established national organisation at an exciting point in its evolution, with refreshed leadership, significant investment in technology and customer experience, and a clear focus on growth.
Better still, you won't be starting from zero. You'll inherit established corporate relationships with significant untapped potential, while also having the opportunity to identify and win new strategic accounts.
The organisations you'll work with are facing genuine workforce challenges. Your job is to understand those challenges, develop the right solution and turn that into long-term, commercially valuable partnerships. Think strategic account management meets business development: get close to the customer, uncover the opportunity, develop the solution, win the business and then keep growing the relationship.
And the industry? Education and workforce training. You don't need to come from it. We'll teach you that part.
What You’ll Be DoingThis is a genuine sales role combining account growth, relationship management and new business development. You’ll take ownership of a portfolio of established corporate relationships and be accountable for growing their commercial potential, while building new partnerships across target sectors. You will:
Own and grow a portfolio of major B2B accounts
Build trusted relationships with senior decision-makers and key stakeholders
Get under the skin of your clients' businesses to understand their workforce and capability challenges
Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts across locations, teams and services
Prospect, open doors and develop new strategic partnerships
Run strong discovery conversations and translate customer needs into commercially compelling solutions
Develop and present proposals, negotiate and close
Own opportunities from first conversation through to commercial agreement
Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline
Work closely with internal teams to ensure what is sold is delivered well
Work towards clear revenue and growth targets, with uncapped commission rewarding strong performance.
We’re open-minded about the industry you come from. We are not, however, open-minded about whether you have actually sold. You’ll already have experience in a B2B sales role where you have been responsible for developing opportunities, managing a pipeline and delivering against commercial targets.
You might currently be a Business Development Manager, Account Manager, Relationship Manager, Partnerships Manager, Account Executive, Sales Executive, or Territory Manager.
We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:
Proven B2B sales experience, with personal accountability for revenue, growth or commercial targets
A track record of converting opportunities into tangible commercial outcomes
Experience managing and developing a sales pipeline
Strong discovery and solution-selling capability
Confidence prospecting, opening conversations and creating opportunities
The ability to negotiate, influence and ask for the business
Strong account management skills, including identifying opportunities to grow existing customers
High emotional intelligence and the ability to build genuine, credible relationships
Commercial curiosity – you want to understand how your customer's business actually works
A self-starting approach and comfort taking ownership of your portfolio
Confidence using CRM and contemporary sales tools
This role is unlikely to suit someone whose experience has primarily been in customer service, student recruitment, administration, marketing or relationship coordination without direct sales accountability.
Note: If you do happen to understand vocational education, traineeships, apprenticeships or government-funded training, that's a bonus, not a prerequisite!
Why Join? You’re not being handed a laptop and a list of cold prospects.
There are established corporate relationships and existing opportunities within the business. Your job is to get close to those customers, understand where the potential sits and turn it into growth.
The best of hunting and farmingThis role has both. You'll grow and expand established accounts while also identifying and winning new strategic partnerships. It's ideal for someone who enjoys the chase but doesn't want to walk away from the customer once the contract is signed.
Strong earning potentialYou'll have clear commercial targets and an uncapped commission structure that rewards strong performance.
Sell something that solves a real problemThe employers you'll work with are facing genuine workforce shortages. You'll help them find practical ways to attract, train and develop the people they need, creating commercial outcomes while solving a very real business problem.
Join during a period of genuine changeThe organisation has been through significant transformation under refreshed leadership, with investment in technology, operations, customer experience and how the business approaches growth. There's an appetite for new ideas, better tools and commercially minded people who want to challenge how things have historically been done.
FlexibilityThe team works from a modern inner-Brisbane office three days per week, with two days working remotely. Some interstate travel will be required to build relationships with major corporate partners.
Interested? If you're already succeeding in B2B sales but are ready to apply those skills to a different industry, we'd like to hear from you.
