Compassionate Support Worker - Enhance Lives of the NDIS community.

Position: Support Worker - High Physical Support needs for a male.
Location: Campbelltown, Liverpool Area, and Bass Hill
Employment Type: Full time, Part time, Casual, Contractors
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate community access and engagement for disabled participants, enabling them to lead independent and fulfilling lives.
- Provide one-on-one support to participants, promoting their safety, well-being, and overall quality of life.
- Assist participants in developing life skills, fostering social connections, and accessing community resources.
- Implement individualised support plans, tailoring assistance to meet the unique needs and goals of each participant.
- Encourage and empower participants to pursue their interests, hobbies, and personal development opportunities.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment, promoting independence, self-advocacy, and community integration.
- Document participant progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with organisational guidelines.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Support Worker or in a similar role is preferred, but not essential. We welcome individuals with a genuine passion for working with the disabled community and a willingness to learn.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with participants, their families, and other stakeholders.
- Compassion, empathy, and patience in providing person-centered care, understanding and respecting the unique needs and abilities of each participant.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and participant requirements, while maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a cohesive and supportive work environment.
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle is preferred, as occasional transportation support may be required.
