Apex Steel Supplies is a trusted name in the steel industry, supplying quality steel products across South Australia. Due to continued growth, we are looking for multiple Machine Operators to join our Roll forming team at our Direk facility.

About the Role

These are full-time day shift positions, however there may be opportunities to work across other shifts when required.

As a Machine Operator, you will operate our roll forming machines to produce quality steel products. This is a fast-paced role where you’ll need to work safely, keep production running smoothly, complete quality checks, and solve minor machine issues as they arise.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate steel roll forming machinery safely and efficiently.
• Monitor the production line and keep machines running smoothly.
• Complete quality checks to make sure products meet our standards.
• Identify and fix minor machine issues or report them when needed.
• Carry out basic machine checks and maintenance.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
• Work as part of a team to meet daily production targets.

What We’re Looking For

• Machine operating experience is preferred but not essential.
• Manufacturing or production experience is highly regarded.
• Forklift licence and/or overhead crane experience is highly regarded.
• Good attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Reliable, punctual and willing to learn.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks.
• Willing to work mainly day shift, with flexibility to work other shifts and overtime when required.
