Dispensary Pharmacist - Grade 1

About the role:

Western Health has an exciting opportunity for a motivated pharmacist to join our team as a Dispensary Pharmacist - Grade 1. This position is permanent, full-time (80 hours per fortnight).

Key responsibilities:

The Dispensary Pharmacist (Grade 1) is primarily responsible for the provision of the dispensing services provided to inpatients and outpatients, including Hospital in the Home (HITH) patients.

This role contributes to high-quality pharmacy operations by participating in dispensing services, patient education and counselling, promoting medication safety and medicines optimisation through collaboration with patients, prescribers and the multidisciplinary healthcare team. 

About you:

• Completion of Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent.
• Eligible for registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Knowledge of pharmacy and related legislation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to customer focused service.
• Works with minimum supervision.
• Ability to work as part of a team and contributes to projects and initiatives.
