The opportunities

NEPEAN Belting is looking for an experienced Belt Splicers to join our growing Mackay team. Based at Slade Point, these roles involve working both in our branch and across mine sites delivering high-quality conveyor belt splicing, repairs and maintenance.

What You’ll Be Doing

Conveyor belt splicing, repairs and maintenanceWorking across workshop and mine site environmentsConducting belt and conveyor system inspectionsSupporting breakdown and scheduled maintenance workEnsuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently and to high-quality standardsCompleting job documentation and site paperworkAssisting in mentoring apprentices and junior splicers

What We’re Looking For

Recent experience with conveyor systems and belt maintenanceUnderground coal mine experience (Preferred) Cert II in Polymer Processing (Belt Splicing) (Essential)Level 3 Belt Splicer (Highly regarded)Supervisory experience (Advantageous but not essential)Current Driver’s Licence (MR preferred)Working at Heights ticket (Desirable)Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanshipAbility to work independently and within a team environment
