The company designs and produces a wide range of single-phase and three-phase transformers tailored to diverse industrial and commercial applications. Its in-house engineering and design capabilities enable support for complex and custom requirements.
The product portfolio includes auto, isolation, motor start, control, power/distribution, and constant voltage transformers. Grant Transformers offers air-cooled, oil-cooled, epoxy, and cast resin solutions to meet different performance and environmental needs.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Project Engineer role based in Malaga, WA. The Project Engineer will oversee transformer projects from concept through delivery, including requirements gathering, technical design support, and coordination with internal design and production teams.
Responsibilities include developing project plans, scheduling and resource coordination, monitoring progress, and ensuring projects meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The role involves preparing technical documentation, reviewing drawings and specifications, and supporting testing and commissioning activities. The Project Engineer will also communicate with clients and stakeholders to clarify technical needs, provide updates, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
QualificationsStrong Project Engineering and Electrical Engineering skills, with experience in transformer or power systems applications.Proficiency in Project Management and Project Planning, including scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.Effective Communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering, production, and customer-facing teams.Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics, technical drawings, and industry standards.Relevant tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.Familiarity with Australian electrical standards, safety regulations, and industrial installation practices.Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a manufacturing or engineering environment.Ability to work on-site in Malaga, WA and manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced setting.
