Registered Nurse (Medical)

The Position

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses for our busy Medical unit with strong clinical skills for the management of acutely unwell patients. To be successful, you must be able to deliver exceptional patient care, demonstrate a level of skill in clinical decision making and hands-on care giving for a range of acute medical conditions.

1. Tertiary qualification and current registration with AHPRA
2. Demonstrated medical care experience including patient management with conditions such as stroke, sepsis, electrolyte imbalance, endocrine disorders, respiratory distress etc.
3. Relevant medical experience gained in an acute environment that demonstrates knowledge and skills transferable to a role in a medical unit
4. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, share information and work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary health team
5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build trust, promote confidence and satisfaction with patients, families’ and support persons

Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) Requirements

It is a mandatory condition of employment that some roles within our hospital require you to be vaccinated, and remain vaccinated during your employment, against some or all of the following vaccine preventable diseases; Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping cough), and Hepatitis.
