Chef de Partie

We’re looking for a Chef de Partie with a passion for presentation, dedication to flavour and commitment to setting high standards to join our A La Carte Kitchen. 

 As the second-in-charge on shift, you will support the Sous Chef in leading  and confidently overseeing kitchen operations in their absence, ensuring exceptional food quality, operational efficiency, and team performance delivering exceptional dining experiences across our restaurant and in-room dining operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present dishes to five-star standards.

• Support the Sous Chef in leading daily kitchen operations and oversee the shift in their absence.

• Lead your section with a focus on quality, consistency, and efficient service.

• Supervise, mentor, and develop junior chefs.

• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety.

• Manage stock, minimize waste, and support food cost control.

• Contribute to menu development and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing kitchen culture.
   

What We need from you:

• Similar experience as a Chef de Partie or an experienced Demi Chef in a commercial kitchen ideally in a hotel environment
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a chef; supervisory experience is an advantage
• Right to legally work full time in Australia 
• Qualifications in Commercial Cookery/Culinary Arts
• Food safety Certification
• Great communication – you’ll be warm, welcoming and easy to talk to 
• Flexibility – night, weekend and public holiday shifts are all part of the job
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise workload
