The Opportunity

Duration: 12 months Arrangement: Full time (hybrid) (4 days onsite initially) Location: Sydney
About You
You are an experienced governance lawyer with between 5 and 10 years' experience, bringing a strong track record from private practice or in-house roles within large organisations.
Your Experience & Expertise:
Demonstrated experience supporting corporate governance functions within a listed entity, government body, regulator or large corporate organisationStrong understanding of governance frameworks, Board and Committee operations, and company secretariat practices from an in-house environmentExperience supporting governance transformation, uplift or remediation projects, including the implementation of governance and regulatory recommendationsProven ability to manage governance workstreams within a broader strategic transformation or programme environmentKnowledge of governance obligations, corporate reporting requirements and organisational accountability frameworksExperience advising and supporting stakeholders on governance processes, decision-making frameworks and best practice governance standardsDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively with project managers, executives, company secretaries and business stakeholders to deliver governance outcomesAbility to identify governance risks, develop practical solutions and support the implementation of sustainable governance improvementsExperience operating within a highly regulated environment and managing sensitive governance issues with discretion and professionalism
