About us

OzGrind Polished Concrete is a Brisbane-based specialist in concrete grinding, polishing, honing and epoxy flooring, working on commercial, industrial and high-end residential projects across Queensland. Our factory and showroom are at Eagle Farm. We've been doing this a long time and we do it properly.

About the role

We're growing the crew and have room for two types of people:

• Experienced polishers/grinders who can run a machine, read a job and finish a floor to spec with minimal supervision.

• Assistants with no polishing experience at all — fit, reliable, and genuinely keen to learn a trade. Full on-the-job training provided.

Key responsibilities

• Operating concrete grinders, polishers and dust extraction equipment

• Surface preparation — grinding, honing, densifying, polishing, sealing and epoxy coating

• Working to project plans and specifications to achieve the required finish

• Maintaining equipment and reporting faults promptly

• Site set-up, pack-down, clean-up and general labouring

• Loading and unloading equipment (our machines are heavy — this is physical work)

• Working safely, wearing PPE and following all site health and safety requirements

• Communicating with supervisors, builders and other trades on site

What we're looking for

• Reliable and punctual, every day — this matters to us more than anything on your résumé

• Physically fit and comfortable with early starts and long days

• Current driver's licence (essential)

• White Card, or willing to obtain one before starting

• Ability to take direction and work as part of a small crew

• Willingness to travel and work away from home (see below)

• Experienced applicants: background in concrete polishing, grinding, epoxy or surface prep. Forklift or EWP tickets a bonus

• Entry-level applicants: no experience needed. Construction or labouring background helpful but not required

Working away

A portion of our work is outside Brisbane. That means sometimes we will ask if you are available to be away from home for 2-3 weeks at a time. we'll pay for your accommodation and give you a living away from home allowance on top. Usually required 3-4 times per year.
