Factory Labourer / Forklift Operator

Casual position

MADE Prefab is seeking a reliable and hardworking Factory Labourer with a current forklift licence to join our team in Sunshine North.

We manufacture prefabricated steel reinforcement cages for the construction industry. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys physical work and working as part of a production team.

About the role

Your duties will include:

• Loading, unloading and moving materials using a forklift

• Assisting with the assembly and production of steel reinforcement cages

• Handling and organising steel materials

• Using basic hand and power tools

• Preparing materials for production

• Keeping the factory and work areas clean and organised

• Following workplace health and safety procedures

• Assisting other team members as required

What we’re looking for

• A current Australian forklift licence – essential

• Previous experience in a factory, warehouse, construction or manufacturing environment

• Physically fit and comfortable performing manual work

• Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team

• Strong commitment to workplace safety

• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently

• Own reliable transport to and from Sunshine North

• Full Australian working rights

Experience working with steel or in reinforcement fabrication would be an advantage, but training can be provided to the right person.
