Senior Electrical Engineer

SCM REF Australia is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Bankstown and help drive the development of innovative refrigeration solutions for the Australian market.

As a leading OEM servicing the Australian refrigeration industry, SCM REF Australia specialises in customised refrigeration systems designed and manufactured locally by our skilled engineering and production teams. About the role

This is a hands-on role responsible for leading electrical design and product development projects from concept through to production.

You'll be involved in:

• Electrical design and development of refrigeration systems and equipment

• Control panel design, wiring schematics and component selection

• New product development and continuous improvement initiatives

• Product testing, validation and problem solving

• Ensuring compliance with Australian Electrical Standards and regulations

• Working closely with production teams, suppliers and key stakeholders

• Supporting sustainable refrigeration technologies and future-focused solutions

About you

We're looking for someone who can combine strong technical capability with a practical, solutions-focused approach.

You'll bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

• Solid experience in an electrical design or product development environment

• Strong electrical design and troubleshooting skills

• Experience interpreting and creating electrical schematics and control systems

• Knowledge of Australian Electrical Standards and compliance requirements

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement

**Experience within refrigeration, HVAC, manufacturing, industrial equipment or OEM environments will be highly regarded.
