NDIS Support Worker

Experienced NDIS Support Worker & Registered Nurse – Sydney

We are seeking experienced, reliable and compassionate NDIS support workers and Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our care team and provide high-quality support to clients with complex care needs.

Please note: Female staff are required for both positions.

1. Experienced NDIS Support Worker – Inactive Night Shift

Location: Stanhope Gardens, NSW

Client: Female client living with Parkinson’s disease

Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Shift type: Inactive Night

About the role

We are looking for an experienced support worker to provide overnight assistance and ensure the client’s safety, comfort and dignity throughout the night.

Key responsibilities

* Assist the client to get out of bed during the night

* Assist with toileting

* Assist the client safely back into bed

* Provide respectful and person-centred overnight support

Requirements

* Previous experience supporting clients with Parkinson’s disease is highly regarded

* Previous NDIS/disability support experience

* Reliable, caring and patient approach

* Comfortable working inactive night shifts

* Relevant qualifications and required NDIS clearances

* Good communication and interpersonal skills

2. Experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Active Night Shift

Location: North Sydney, NSW

Client: Male client with high support needs and end-stage MND

Shift: 9:00 PM – 9:30 AM

Days: Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday

Shift type: Active Night

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse who is confident providing complex care to a client with high support needs and end-stage Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

Essential clinical experience

The successful candidate must have demonstrated experience and confidence with:

* Hoist/lifter transfers

* Cough Assist

* Suctioning

* Nebuliser therapy

* PEG feeding

* Non-invasive ventilation (NIV)

* Supporting communication through an eye-gaze communication device

* Ability to read and understand English to support the client’s communication needs

Additional responsibilities

The role also includes:

* Light housekeeping

* Meal preparation for young children

* Working respectfully within a family home environment

* Being comfortable around a family pet dog and mindful of any pet allergies

Training

Training shifts will be required before commencing regular shifts.

* Experienced in complex disability and high-needs care

* Confident with the clinical skills listed above

* Reliable and professional

* Compassionate and patient

* Able to work independently within a home-care environment

* Committed to providing safe, respectful and person-centred care

* Female RN required
