About the role
Make a Difference at Bryden Neuropsychology
Are you an experienced medical receptionist who loves making people feel welcome, supported and cared for?
Bryden Neuropsychology is looking for a warm, reliable, capable, and highly organised Senior Receptionist & Office Manager to join our small and growing practice in Bowen Hills.
This is more than a reception role. You’ll be an important part of a service that helps people better understand how their brain is working — and, importantly, what support they may need moving forward.
A little about Bryden Neuropsychology
Bryden Neuropsychology was established in 2020 by Dr Kelly Bryden, Clinical Neuropsychologist.
Kelly works with people experiencing difficulties with thinking, memory and other cognitive changes, often in the context of neurological conditions. She also provides psychological support to help people adjust to and manage the challenges that can come with these conditions.
The practice is small, personal and client-focused, with Kelly currently working alongside three provisional psychologists. We value creating a calm, welcoming environment where clients feel respected, listened to, and genuinely cared for.
What is neuropsychology?
Neuropsychology looks at the relationship between the brain, thinking, and behaviour.
Through specialised assessment, neuropsychologists can look at areas such as memory, attention, problem-solving, language, and other thinking skills. This can help clients, families and their treating professionals better understand what is happening and identify appropriate strategies, supports and treatment options.
For many people, receiving an assessment can provide clarity and answers — helping them understand their strengths and difficulties and make informed decisions about their health, work, study, relationships, and everyday life.
That’s where you come in.
About the role
As our Senior Receptionist & Office Manager, you’ll be the first point of contact for many of our clients and an important part of their experience with the practice.
You’ll help keep the practice running smoothly while building positive relationships with clients, families, and health professionals.
Your role will include:
Responding to client enquiries and managing appointments
Welcoming clients and providing a warm, professional experience
Managing confidential client records and billing
General office administration and organisation
Managing income, expenses, and payroll through MYOB
Liaising with our accountant, building manager and other external professionals
Maintaining office resources and contributing to policies and procedures
Taking ownership of day-to-day office management
Potentially supporting or supervising junior administration staff as we grow
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone who is experienced, reliable, and genuinely enjoys helping people.
You’ll ideally have extensive experience in medical reception, with some experience in office management and payroll. You’ll be confident working independently, solving problems, and keeping on top of competing priorities.
You’ll also have:
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Fast and accurate typing skills
Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Teams
Experience with medical software
A good understanding of health privacy and confidentiality
A current Working with Children Check
Experience in psychology, specialist medical practice, Zanda or MYOB will be highly regarded.
We’re looking for someone who is organised, warm, capable and confident working independently — someone who understands that great administration is an important part of creating a positive experience for clients.
Most importantly, you’ll bring a professional, non-judgemental and compassionate approach to your work. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and include people living with disability, mental health conditions and neurological conditions, as well as members of the LGBTQIA+ and culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
What we can offer you

Health Professionals and Support Services Award 2020 – Support Services Employee Level 8
Approximately 20 hours per week
Flexible days and hours
Opportunity for increased hours and potential transition to part-time/full-time in the future
Bowen Hills location
A small, friendly team where your contribution is genuinely valued
And yes, the occasional dog may make an appearance!
Most importantly…
We’re looking for someone who understands that the way you interact with a client can make a real difference.
Some people who come through our doors may be worried, uncertain or adjusting to significant changes in their lives. A friendly voice on the phone, a welcoming smile at reception and someone who takes the time to listen can make their experience that little bit easier.
If you’re an experienced medical receptionist who is ready to take on a role with purpose, variety and the opportunity to become an important part of a growing practice, we’d love to hear from you.
Apply via SEEK and tell us a little about yourself, your experience, and why you think Bryden Neuropsychology could be the right fit for you.
We look forward to meeting you!
