Facilities Manager

Summary:

We are seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of facility operations, including planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and onsite maintenance, ensuring operational continuity.

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of all equipment

• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, and Australian building codes through regular audits and record-keeping.

• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for services and supplies

• Manage budgets for facility maintenance and repairs

• Coordinate with other departments to ensure that facilities meet their needs

• Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans

• Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for facility operations and maintenance teams.

Qualifications:

• Relevant education in facilities management, engineering, or a related field

• 2+ years of experience in facilities management or a related field

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Thorough knowledge of Australian building codes and workplace health and safety legislation

• Experience managing budgets and negotiating contracts

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Proficiency with Maintenance Management Systems, such as MyBuildings, and advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Experience in managing capital expenditure projects related to facility upgrades and refurbishments.
