Aboriginal Support Worker
Rick Hammersley Therapeutic Community
The Role:
We are seeking an Aboriginal Support Worker to join our team at Rick Hammersley Therapeutic Community (TC). The position will provide yarning, mentoring, interactive therapeutic activities, education, mediation, and support culturally staff members and residents in a residential alcohol and other drug treatment setting.
The Aboriginal Support Worker will also foster connections with local Aboriginal Elders and communities, ensuring culturally appropriate support and engagement. This position provides culturally appropriate support to residents of the Saranna and Gnangara Programs that operate at the Rick Hammersley Therapeutic Community facility.
You will be a key part of a multidisciplinary team, offering site-based support to enhance the accessibility and the cultural security of our service.
The successful candidate will be offered the following benefits:
The position is part-time, working 60 hours per fortnight, based at our Rick Hammersley site in Cullacabardee.
Level 4 - Level 5, salary $96,295 -$113.725 per annum ($48.58 - $57.37 per hour) on pro-rata basis plus superannuation (depending on experience).
