Production Planner

About the Role

We are seeking an organised and proactive Production Planner to assist with the planning and coordination of production and manufacturing activities. The Production Planner will be responsible for maintaining day-to-day production schedules and ensuring orders meet customer requirements.

This role will work closely with internal departments to fulfil customer orders while keeping in line with stocking policies, delivery targets, and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate demand for manufactured products using an ERP system and within established planning processes.

• Develop and maintain production schedules and orders to ensure agreed capacity requirements and monthly production targets are maintained.

• Daily monitoring of customer orders and production progress to ensure DIFOT targets is achieved.

• Respond to daily sales enquiries and provide best lead-times based on material availability, capacity and production requirements.

• Work closely with internal departments to ensure timely fulfilment of customer orders and any potential delays are identified and addressed early.

• Monitor inventory levels and respond to changes in demand, forecasts and actual sales to maintain appropriate stock levels.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience within a production or manufacturing company in a similar role

• Solid knowledge of the Supply chain along with an understanding of ERP systems

• High level accuracy and attention to detail

• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite

• Adaptable to changing workloads and priorities and strong organisational and time management skills

• Ability to take initiative and has sound problem solving skills

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Hands on approach with a focus on continuous improvement

• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
