Casual Medical Receptionist

About the role

As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to patients and the wider medical team.

Key responsibilities

• Working approx 2-3 days per week, but from time to time will be more to cover staff leave when required
• Greeting and welcoming patients with a friendly and professional manner
• Answering calls, responding to inquiries and scheduling appointments
• Handling patient inquiries and providing information about consultations and procedures
• Collecting and processing patient referrals and other documentation
• Taking payments in person and over the phone. Reconciling as required
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Providing general administrative support to the medical team as required

About you

• Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a customer service-oriented role within the healthcare industry
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients, clinicians, and other staff members
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail
• Proficient in computer use
• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• A genuine interest in the healthcare industry and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care
