Payroll Officer

At Baccpayrest & Less, we're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our collaborative Payroll team. In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering accurate and timely payroll outcomes for our team members across Australia while providing exceptional customer service and ensuring compliance with payroll legislation, awards, and company policies.

What You'll Do

• Process end-to-end payroll accurately and on time across weekly and fortnightly pay cycles.
• Provide payroll advice and support to team members and leaders across the business.
• Review and manage Time & Attendance exceptions to ensure payroll accuracy.
• Perform payroll reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end processes.
• Ensure payroll activities comply with relevant legislation, awards and enterprise agreements.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships through excellent service and teamwork.
• Contribute to a positive, safety-first culture.

About You

You'll be a payroll professional who enjoys working with detail, solving problems and supporting people.

We're looking for someone with:

• Proven payroll experience within a large and complex organisation.
• Experience using Dayforce Payroll and Dayforce Workforce Management (highly desirable).
• Experience supporting payroll system implementations or transitions.
• Strong knowledge of Awards, Enterprise Agreements and payroll compliance requirements.
• Experience working with Time & Attendance systems.
• Intermediate Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capability.
• Retail payroll experience will be highly regarded.
