Bulldog Demolition is seeking experienced Demolition/Strip out Labourers and Leaders to join our growing team in Melbourne. This is a full-time position( casual 3 months leading to full time employment) offering an exciting opportunity to work on diverse demolition and strip-out projects across Melbourne. Whether you're looking to develop your skills as a labourer or step into a leadership role, we have positions available for both experienced workers and those ready to lead teams on site, as well as driver/loaders You will be working on-site, managing the physical demands of demolition work whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

As a Demolition/Strip out Labourer or Leader, your responsibilities will include:

1. Safely dismantling, removing and disposing of building materials and fixtures from residential, commercial and industrial sites (NO ASBESTOS)

2. Operating hand tools and power tools in accordance with health and safety regulations

3. Sorting and segregating waste materials for appropriate recycling or disposal

4. Following detailed site plans and instructions from supervisors or project managers

5. Maintaining a clean and safe working environment throughout each project

6. Adhering to all relevant legislation, including WorkSafe requirements and environmental regulations

7. For Leaders: supervising and coordinating teams of labourers, ensuring productivity and safety standards are met

8. For Leaders: liaising with project managers and other stakeholders on site progress and any issues

9. For Leaders: conducting toolbox talks and ensuring all team members understand safety protocols

What we're looking for

Essential skills, qualifications and experience:

1. Proven experience working as a demolition or strip-out labourer, with a solid understanding of safe demolition practices

2. Current White Card

3. Full driving licence and reliable transport to various sites across Melbourne and Victoria (MR License or above a advantage)

4. Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in varying weather conditions

5. Excellent understanding of workplace health and safety requirements

6. Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors

7. For Leaders: demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience in the trades or construction industry

8. For Leaders: proven ability to manage teams effectively and maintain safety standards

9. For Leaders: experience with site documentation and communication with multiple stakeholders

Preferred qualifications and experience:

1. First Aid certification

2. Asbestos awareness training or certification

3. Experience with hazardous materials handling

4. Knowledge of recycling and waste management practices

5. Forklift or machinery operation experience
