Financial Controller – Body Corporate (BCCM Act 1997)

Australasian Body Corporate Management (AusBCM) is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our growing team based in Spring Hill. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing financial operations within a portfolio of community titles schemes governed by the Body Corporate and Community Management Act 1997 (Qld).

About the Role
Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for managing financial processes, ensuring compliance, and delivering accurate reporting across multiple body corporates.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations for body corporate portfolios

• Prepare and review budgets, financial statements, and reporting for committees and AGMs

• Ensure compliance with the BCCM Act 1997 and associated regulations

• Manage levy contributions, arrears, and reconciliations

• Liaise with auditors, committees, and internal stakeholders

• Oversee trust accounts and banking functions

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in a similar financial/controller role within the strata or body corporate industry

• Strong working knowledge of the BCCM Act 1997 (Qld)

• Proficiency in StrataMax, DocMax, and Xero

• Experience with banking platforms and trust account management

• High level of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
