We are looking for an experienced Designer to join Katie in our Showroom located on Bathurst St in Hobart's CBD.

Have experience working as a Designer in a joinery business or you are an Interior Designer that has experience in designing high end residential joinery and project management. Design students who are committed to staying in the role as Designer with KT Kitchens are welcome to apply also.

As part of our design team you will manage your own clients from the first “Hello” to design and onto completion. You will be highly organised and thrive on watching your project schedule run smoothly. You will be encouraged to apply your own design flair and style. You will have a passion for creating beautiful spaces that are also highly functional. We love our clients and enjoy the journey we go on together, we want that for you too. We love any opportunity to learn and evolve as Designers and to align with this we attend numerous networking and educational industry events, we would support you in your learnings too.

Other important characteristics and skills you would recognise in yourself are:

• Experience designing custom joinery or high-end interiors

• Experience liaising with subcontractors and negotiating surprises

• Solution focused, ALWAYS

• Knowledgeable on finishes available and their correct applications/ restrictions

• Project Management experience

• A general understanding on Joinery Manufacturing and how it all goes together

• Proudly takes ownership of their work

• An exceptional communicator who listens first and guides clients with confidence

• An outstanding eye for detail

• Is patient, professional and genuinely enjoys working with people

• CAD experience

Bonus points if you have experience with:
