Clinical Nurse - Early Psychosis

Lead specialist mental health care and make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people and their families

Use your advanced clinical expertise, leadership skills and passion for recovery-focused care to support consumers with complex mental health needs. In this role, you will provide specialist nursing leadership within an early psychosis framework, champion best practice, and contribute to a compassionate, evidence-based service that improves outcomes for consumers, families and the community.

As a Clinical Nurse within the Early Psychosis team, you will provide advanced clinical expertise, leadership and coordination of specialist mental health nursing care for consumers with complex needs, supporting recovery-focused, person-centred outcomes.

• Deliver comprehensive mental health nursing care, including assessment, care planning, risk assessment and evaluation for consumers experiencing early psychosis and complex care needs.
• Provide expert clinical leadership, guidance and support to the multidisciplinary team, promoting high standards of practice, critical thinking and evidence-based care.
• Coordinate and contribute to service improvement initiatives, clinical education, research activities and quality frameworks that enhance consumer outcomes and service delivery.

You are an experienced mental health nurse with advanced clinical knowledge, strong leadership skills and a commitment to delivering safe, compassionate and recovery-oriented care for consumers and their families.

• Registered as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with demonstrated experience in mental health nursing and the ability to provide specialist care within an early psychosis framework.
• Demonstrated advanced assessment, clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex presentations and develop individualised care plans.
• A collaborative and effective clinical leader who can support teams, influence practice improvements and foster a culture of learning, accountability and excellence.
