For more than 55 years, McNeall Plastics has helped Australian industry improve equipment reliability through locally manufactured engineering plastic components.
Following our recent move to a larger manufacturing facility in Unanderra, we're expanding our Commercial team and looking for two Applications Specialists to support customers across New South Wales.
This is a field-based commercial role where you'll work closely with customers to understand their equipment, identify opportunities for improvement and recommend practical engineering solutions. You'll be responsible for building long-term customer relationships, growing your territory and helping customers improve equipment reliability and performance.
Available OpportunitiesBased in Newcastle, the Hunter, Central Coast or surrounding region.
Supporting customers across Northern Sydney, the Central Coast, Newcastle, the Hunter Valley and Northern New South Wales.
South NSWBased in Wollongong, South Sydney or surrounding region.
Supporting customers across South Sydney, the Illawarra, Southern Highlands, South Coast, Canberra, Riverina and Southern New South Wales.
Occasional travel to Victoria may be required.
What You'll Be DoingYou'll spend most of your time on customer sites, learning how equipment operates, identifying opportunities for improvement and working with customers to develop practical solutions.
Some days you'll be inspecting worn components in the field. Other days you'll be working alongside our Engineering and Production teams to develop a new solution or preparing recommendations for a customer.
You'll:
Build long-term relationships with customers across your territory.
Learn how customer equipment operates so you can identify opportunities before failures occur.
Understand customer applications and operating conditions.
Identify opportunities to improve reliability, reduce wear and extend component life.
Recommend practical engineering plastic solutions.
Develop new business and grow existing customer relationships.
Prepare quotations and progress opportunities through to completion.
Work closely with our Engineering, Production and Customer Service teams.
Maintain accurate customer and opportunity records.
You don't need experience with engineering plastics.
A strong mechanical aptitude and genuine curiosity are far more important.
We'll teach you everything you need to know about our materials, products and manufacturing processes.
