In this position, the consultant advises customers on lab-grown diamonds, helping them understand quality, value, and design options that meet their preferences and budget. Day-to-day tasks include conducting in-person consultations, presenting sample stones and jewelry designs, and guiding clients through the selection and purchasing process. The role involves collaborating with the design and production team to translate customer needs into custom or curated jewelry pieces, as well as maintaining showroom displays and ensuring product information is accurate and up to date. The consultant also supports occasional training sessions for team members and contributes to a professional, welcoming in-store experience.Qualifications Strong customer service skills with experience in client-facing roles and the ability to provide clear, informative consultations.Jewelry design and fashion jewelry knowledge, including awareness of current trends and basic design principles.Practical skills in polishing or handling finished jewelry and lab-grown diamonds, ensuring products are presented professionally.Experience delivering or supporting training, such as educating team members or customers about product features and care.Interest in lab-grown diamonds, gemology, or the broader jewelry industry; prior retail jewelry experience is an advantage.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in accessible language.Attention to detail, reliability, and professional presentation suitable for an in-store consulting environment.Availability to work part-time on-site in Melbourne, VIC, including weekends or peak retail hours as needed.
