The trustee for The S. AND S. MEECHAMNAN FAMILY TRUST We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage and oversee the financial operations of the business.

The role involves ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, preparing financial reports, and providing strategic financial insights to support business growth. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting management decision-making. Benefits Competitive salary package Supportive and collaborative work environment Opportunities for professional growth and development Convenient location within a shopping centre Exposure to retail business operations and financial strategy Stable and growing business with long-term career potential Task & responsibilities Maintain financial records, reconcile sales, and manage accounts payable/receivable Prepare budgets, monitor cash flow, and manage costs related to stock wastage Prepare financial statements and analyse profit margins Prepare and lodge tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations Process payroll and ensure correct wage and superannuation payments Conduct stocktakes and monitor cost of goods sold Implement internal controls to prevent financial loss Advise management on pricing and cost efficiencies Maintain accounting software integrated with POS systems Qualification & experience Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field Minimum 1 year of relevant professional experience  Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Effective communication and stakeholder management skills CPA or CA qualification (or working towards) is highly desirable
