About the role

Active Fleet is seeking a Product Specialist to join our dynamic team in Deception Bay, Queensland. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between our product development and our customers.
As a Product Specialist, you will be instrumental in ensuring our products meet market demands and customer expectations. You will be responsible for understanding product features, communicating value propositions to stakeholders, and providing valuable feedback to enhance our product offerings. This role is essential to our mission of delivering innovative technology solutions that drive business success.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of all product features, functionality and technical specifications

• Serve as a L2 of contact for product-related enquiries from customers, internal teams and stakeholders

• Support the product management team in gathering customer feedback and market insights to inform product development decisions

• Create and maintain product documentation, training materials and resources to facilitate customer adoption and usage

• Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for customers and internal teams to maximise product understanding and engagement

• Analyse product performance metrics and user feedback to identify areas for improvement and innovation

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing and development to ensure product success in the market

• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on product usage trends, customer satisfaction and competitive positioning

• Support the resolution of product-related issues and escalate complex technical problems to the appropriate development teams

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in a product specialist, product support or similar customer-facing product role within the technology sector

• Strong understanding of software products, features and technical functionality

• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences

• Demonstrated ability to gather, analyse and synthesise customer feedback into actionable insights

• Proficiency in using product management tools, customer relationship management (CRM) systems and analytics platforms

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

• Experience collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment

• Knowledge of Information and Communication Technology product development methodologies is advantageous

• Bachelor's degree in business, technology, marketing or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
