We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR generalist to be a trusted advisor for a 300+ employee / family-owned business which is located at our Kingsgrove, Syndey Office & Warehouse site.
This new position will help lead our strategic and operational people initiatives. This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior HR Manager / or HR BP to join a high-performing business and to champion the design and execution of a strategy which drives a culture of high-performance and makes a real impact on business outcomes.
The Role:
In this role, you will support the HR function to optimise workforce capabilities, develop and execute plans for both current and future business goals.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director.
What You'll Be Doing:
Implement People & Culture plans, focusing on building capabilities across the business.
Ensure timely and consistent delivery of a cost-effective HR/IR/ER advisory function.
Oversee strategic recruitment efforts and provide expert HR advice, ensuring that people practices and frameworks are well-understood and effectively administered within the business.
Provide thought leadership, coaching and support to leaders to ensure the effective execution of people related activities.
Be responsible for Workers' compensation and injury management.
Oversee minimum Award wage compliance, employee on boarding, training and development.
Respond to all people related claims and you may be required to attend Fair Work matters.
What You'll Bring:
The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and authentic leader, skilled in inspiring and influencing others, and possessing the following skills and experience:
Tertiary Qualification in HR, Business Management, or a related discipline or experience.
Extensive experience (5+ years) human resources experience preferably from a blue-collar organisation, servicing multiple business functions.
Demonstrated experience in leading HR business partnering and providing HR generalist services to executive and operational level leaders and supporting the business through change in a multifaceted people environment.
Experience working at senior leadership level, both internally and with service providers.
Strong ER background with the ability to confidently support the business concerning workforce capabilities activities.
Proven experience to coach leaders and manage a blue-collar workforce with a focus on building strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
