Female Paediatric Disability Support Worker

We have an opportunity for a vibrant female Support Worker near the Mt Druitt region to support a 1 year old happy girl who requires ventilatory support with a tracheostomy.  

This role involves assisting with daily activities, whilst maintaining a safe environment. Given the specialised nature of the role, disability support experience is required. Training will be provided to facilitate a smooth transition. Successful applicants must be willing to do Nights and Weekends 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Provide hands-on support and care Assist with activities of daily living (feeding, bathing, and medication administration) 

• Tracheostomy care and suctioning 

• Administer PEG feeding 

• Monitor and manage ventilatory support equipment and ensure proper functioning. 

• Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and the client's family to deliver holistic care. 

Core hours:

Monday to Sunday 10pm - 8am
Monday to Saturday 10am - 2pm

Please note that these hours are subject to change, hence flexibility and availability will be prioritised.

Requirements: 

• Experience in Disability Support, preferably with paediatric clients 

• Current First Aid & CPR 

• Certificate NDIS Workers Screening Check / Module

• Working with Children Clearance 

• Police Check 

• Fluency in English 

Desirable: 

• Ventilator support systems and Tracheostomy care desirable but training can be provided for right candidate 

• Driver’s licence 

Day rates $45.76 p/h, Evening rate $48.88 p/h, Night rates $50.96 p/h, Saturday rates $63.44 p/h, Sunday rates $83.20 p/h
