POS Systems Coordinator

We are seeking a proactive and solutions-focused Operations & POS Coordinator to support the successful delivery of events across Brisbane Showgrounds and RICC.

This hands-on role combines POS and ICT systems support, event operations, floor coordination and administration. You will help ensure our systems, people and venues are ready to deliver seamless events and RNA’s 5-star service standards.

This is a Permanent Part-time opportunity (22.8 hours), working over a 7-day roster.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate, program and support POS systems, including troubleshooting, maintenance and staff training.

• Manage venue digital signage programming and functionality during events.

• Provide ICT systems support and training across POS, digital signage and related technology.

• Coordinate floor operations, staffing, event set-up, logistics and technical requirements.

• Liaise with clients, vendors and internal teams to support smooth event delivery.

• Support exhibitions, entertainment, concessional catering, RICC, Brisbane Showgrounds and EKKA events.

• Monitor service standards and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.

• Prepare event reports, P&L reports and operational data analysis.

• Monitor labour, food, beverage and other operational costs against approved budgets.

• Undertake other operational and administrative duties as required.

About You

• Experience in event operations, venue management, hospitality, POS, ICT support or a similar environment.

• Confident working with technology and troubleshooting systems.

• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong attention to detail, particularly with reporting and financial information.

• Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering high service standards.

• Proactive, reliable and comfortable taking ownership.

• Flexible to work evenings, weekends and public holidays during major events as required.

The RNA runs the Royal Queensland Show (Ekka), Queensland's largest event, on behalf of the community for 9 days each year in August.
