Bookkeeper

Stratus Bookkeeping, a company associate with Nimbus CA, is a growing bookkeeping business dedicated to providing high-quality bookkeeping, payroll and cloud accounting services to a diverse range of businesses. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional client service and building strong relationships with our clients.

We are looking for an junior/ intermediate Bookkeeper to join our friendly and supportive team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper who enjoys working with a variety of clients and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.

Your responsibilities will include:

• End-to-end bookkeeping

• Bank, debtor and creditor reconciliations

• Payroll processing and STP reporting

• BAS and IAS preparation and lodgement

• Superannuation processing

• Maintaining Xero files and resolving bookkeeping issues

• Liaising with clients and the accounting team

• Assisting clients with day-to-day bookkeeping queries

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous bookkeeping experience in a public practice accounting firm or bookkeeping practice

• Strong working knowledge of Xero (essential) and MYOB

• Experience with payroll, STP and superannuation

• Experience preparing and lodging BAS and IAS

• Excellent attention to detail

• Strong organisational and time management skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• The ability to work independently while also being a team player
