Disability Support Worker – Millbridge SIL Home (Female Applicants)

SIRV is seeking a compassionate and experienced Disability Support Worker to join our team at a Supported Independent Living (SIL) home in Millbridge, providing 24/7 rotating roster support to a participant with complex care needs.

Please note: Due to the personal care needs of our participant, this position is only open to female applicants, in accordance with a genuine occupational requirement under equal opportunity legislation.

About the Role You’ll provide high-quality, person-centred support within a SIL home environment, working as part of a small, consistent team to support our participant’s daily routine, health needs, and community participation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living support in line with the participant’s support plan
• Support safe transfers and mobility needs
• Assist with community access and social/recreational activities
• Maintain accurate shift notes, incident reports, and other required documentation
• Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and SIRV policies and procedures
• Work collaboratively with the SIL team, Team Leader, and allied health professionals

Desirable Experience (not essential – training provided where required)

• PEG feeding and medication administration via PEG
• Indwelling catheter care
• Transfers using Sara Steady (or similar mechanical lifting equipment)
• Experience supporting participants with complex medical needs

What We’re Looking For

• A genuine, caring approach with a strong understanding of person-centred practice
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
• First Aid & CPR certification
• Current WA Driver’s License and reliable transport
• Flexibility to work a 24/7 rotating roster, including overnight shifts
