Civic Disability Services is seeking a proactive and versatile Finance Business Partner to join our Finance Team.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role is ideal for a strong management accounting all-rounder who enjoys working across budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, business analysis, performance improvement and stakeholder engagement. You will partner with operational leaders across the organisation to provide financial insights, support decision-making and help deliver Civic's strategic objectives.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Partner with operational and corporate leaders to provide financial guidance and support informed decision-making.
Prepare monthly management reports, variance analysis and performance commentary.
Coordinate budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning processes.
Analyse financial and operational performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, sustainability and outcomes.
Prepare business cases, financial models and investment appraisals to support strategic initiatives.
Monitor key financial and operational metrics and provide actionable recommendations.
Support managers to understand financial performance, risks and opportunities within their areas of responsibility.
Assist with month-end and year-end reporting requirements.
Support audit processes and compliance reporting obligations.
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and financial tools that improve business insight and decision-making.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across finance systems, processes and reporting.
Provide support across the broader finance function as required.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
You are enthusiastic, take initiative and demonstrate a strong commitment to your work. You thrive on staying organized and excel in dynamic environments.
You will possess:
Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance.
CA or CPA qualification completed or nearing completion.
Minimum 3 years' experience in management accounting, commercial finance, business partnering or financial analysis roles.
Demonstrated experience preparing budgets, forecasts, management reports and financial analysis.
Strong commercial acumen and an ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insights.
Proven ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with financial reporting and business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI).
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
To succeed in this position, you will need excellent communication and relationship-building skills, the ability to deliver work efficiently, sound judgment when handling commercially sensitive and confidential information and the flexibility to adapt to Civic’s evolving needs.
