The Opportunity
Wolf & Williams have partnered with a respected player in the insurance and financial services sector, who is seeking an interim experienced Senior Legal Counsel to step into a key contract role. This is a great chance to join a tight-knit team and work on important matters that directly support the business during a busy growth period.
About the Role
You’ll work across a broad mix of legal work, including:
Providing legal, regulatory and compliance guidance to the business on a range of insurance, and financial services, regulatory matters;Drafting and reviewing a variety of commercial agreements;Partnering with internal stakeholders to provide support on a range of specific project or M+A based activities where required;Supporting on dispute resolution and investigations matters.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety and can work in a supportive but fast paced environment.
About You
You’ll be a senior-level lawyer with:
5+ years’ PAE gained in general insurance, financial services, or a similarly regulated environment, either in an in-house environment, or law firm;Strong experience in commercial contracts, with indemnity, coverage, regulatory or risk-focused work highly regarded;The ability to balance technical detail with commercial judgement;A calm, solutions-driven approach and strong stakeholder skills;Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills;Pragmatic, solutions focussed, able to balance legal risk with business priorities.
