Use your legal expertise to shape fair and effective fines services.You will provide senior legal advice on complex public law matters.You will guide contracts, negotiations and legal responses across Fines and Enforcement Services.You will help improve outcomes for vulnerable Victorians through fairer pathways.Ongoing/casual, full-time/part-time role earning $142,790 - $191,084 per year, plus super.
What You Will Do
As Principal Legal Adviser, you will provide senior legal advice across Fines and Enforcement Services.
You will help resolve complex legal issues while managing competing priorities and sensitive matters.
You Will
provide specialist legal advice on complex contracts, administrative law and public law mattersmanage legal and commercial matters for important contracts, including variations and subcontractssupport contract tenders and negotiations by drafting terms, assessing bids and developing legal strategiesidentify emerging legal and commercial risks and recommend practical ways to manage thembrief senior leaders and professional advisers while providing clear advice on complex legal matters.
About You
You will need relevant legal qualifications and experience to practise as a lawyer in Australia.
You Should Also Have
strong administrative law and litigation experience, with sound knowledge of dispute resolutioncommercial law experience and the ability to manage complex contracts and negotiationsstrong analytical skills to interpret legislation and develop accurate legal solutionssound judgement and relationship skills, with the ability to identify risks and provide clear advice.
