Job Description

• Great opportunity for an experienced retail Designer to work on innovation projects
• Based in Sydney with hybrid working

As a Designer, you will support the evolution of retail design by driving innovation, efficiency, and customer engagement while ensuring physical spaces accurately reflect the BWS and Dan Murphy's brands' strategic direction. 

You will focus on practical design development of innovative retail concepts and the end-to-end coordination of small-to-medium, fast-paced projects, with a specific focus on the continuous improvement of the Endeavour Toolkits.

The role demands a high degree of work autonomy, combining design proficiency with strong project management and clear communication to ensure projects are delivered successfully across timelines, cost guidelines, and final design outputs.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

• Concept Innovation: Contribute to the creation of innovative and engaging retail concepts, focusing on next-generation initiatives, that align with brand strategy and customer experience goals.
• Project Ownership: Act as the Design lead on multiple fast-paced, small-to-medium sized format innovation and Standards Toolkits projects, owning the design accountabilities end-to-end. Ensure the design scope, design budget, and design program are clearly defined, communicated, tracked, and reported on to your manager and project teams regularly.
• Value Engineering & Toolkits: Assist in the selection, value-engineering, and specification of materials, finishes, lighting, and furniture to continuously improve the Standard Toolkits, ensuring a strong focus on cost-optimisation across all projects.
• Visual & Technical Execution: Produce high-quality 3D visualisations, fixture designs, and in-store experiences, as well as detailed CAD drawings for store fit-outs and fixture production as required.
• Stakeholder Integration: Act as a proactive conduit promoting collaboration between all varied stakeholders and the Format team, producing clear and concise presentations (both verbal and written) for approval by peers and senior leadership.
• Internal Alignment: Work closely with cross-functional internal teams - including Design streams, Build, Brand, Marketing, Safety, Asset Protection, and others - to ensure total alignment as required.
• External Partner Coordination: Work closely with builders, contractors, and fixture manufacturers, ensuring external partners understand and deliver to Endeavour’s brief, program, and material specifications.

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you: 

• 4+ years Retail design / Interior design management / architecture / interiors industry experience 
• Excellent stakeholder and relationship management of both internal and external stakeholders
• Strong design and project management skills
• High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign 
• Tertiary qualifications in Interior Design, Architecture, Retail Design, Industrial Design or a related field
