MEDICAL SECRETARY

We are seeking at experienced medical secretary, who is looking to work for a very busy Gastroenterology Practice located at St John of God Hospital, Subiaco.

The position is for 3 days per week; Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 24 hours in total. The hourly starting rate will be commensurate with experience.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Patient liaison via telephone and email

• Welcoming patients and managing clinics

• Answering phone calls, scheduling appointments

• Booking theatre procedures and liaising with hospital staff

• Processing Medicare and Eclipse billing

• Transcription of medical dictation from Heidi Health and possible small amount of dictaphone typing.

The successful candidate will need the following attributes:

• Previous Specialist rooms experience

• Previous experience in Gastroenterology would be advantageous

• Proficiency in Genie Solutions and Healthlink

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

• Excellence in dealing with the public

• Very good attention to detail

• Be well organised and have the ability to multittask and prioritise workload

• Must demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness

• Availability for holiday and sick leave cover

• Touch typing is an advantage
