Human Resources Generalist / HR Manager

About the role

This HR Generalist / HR Manager role takes ownership of the HR function at Marland Mushrooms. You'll be working closely with managers, supervisors and employees across operations, helping build a workplace where people, performance and compliance go hand in hand.

Key responsibilities

• Managing the full employee lifecycle — recruitment, onboarding, performance and exit processes

• Providing practical HR advice and support to managers and supervisors

• Managing employee relations, grievances, investigations and workplace conduct matters

• Supporting performance management and workplace culture initiatives

• Maintaining HR policies, procedures and compliance systems

• Supporting workplace relations and employment legislation compliance

• Managing HR records, reporting and documentation

• Coordinating HR training and development

• Participation in audits, compliance programs and customer/ethical sourcing requirements

• Identifying HR risks and turning them into practical solutions

About you

• Relevant qualifications and/or significant experience in Human Resources

• Strong knowledge of Australian employment and workplace relations legislation

• Experience managing employee relations, grievances and investigations

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Confidence dealing with employees at all levels

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• The ability to work independently and make sound, practical decisions

• A hands-on, solutions-focused approach

• Experience in an operational, manufacturing, agriculture, food production or similar environment would be highly regarded
