An opportunity currently exists for a National Account Manager, on a full-time permanent basis. The purpose of this position is to manage our largest B2B National Account, and other key National Accounts, in relation to volume, revenue, margin and growth. This role manages both the customer relationship, and key internal relationships (Milling, Quality, Supply, Logistics) to ensure we meet the customers’ needs whilst maximising our sales and profitability to ensure ongoing sustainable relationships.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage our largest B2B Customer, and other major accounts, to ensure they receive our products within the expected quality, consistency and timeliness we have committed to them.Ensure ongoing conformance with Quality, Milling and Regulatory requirements Understand the customer's manufacturing operations, cost drivers and category strategy, and use that insight to shape our commercial offerEnsure all customer requirements (Business Reviews, Quality Reviews) are met in a timely mannerManage internal relationships across Milling, Grain Procurement, Quality, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, Customer Service and Operations to drive the customer's agenda, expectations, and contract parameters whilst upholding our business prioritiesResponsible for developing and delivering KPIs against business plans and their targetsContribute to the strategic planning process, and recommend responses to strategic issuesInitiate cross functional / NPD projects that customers request, providing they align with AP’s strategy and meet project hurdle rates. Work closely with project managers to ensure delivery of NPD and / or projects are on track.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, marketing, food science or a related discipline are desirable.Relevant account management/sales experience - Food Industry experience is preferred. MillingIngredients Channel experience would be highly advantageous.Minimum 5 years managing national or enterprise-level customer accounts, including leading virtual cross-functional teams without direct authorityUnderstanding of commodity markets (wheat / grain pricing, hedging and cost pass-throughmechanisms) and the ability to explain price movements credibly to customersWorking knowledge of food industry regulatory and quality frameworks (HACCP, FSANZ, productspecifications) and ACCC / competition law obligationsProject management capability, including NPD stage-gate processes
