Intermediate Accountant L1

THE ROLE 

Key Responsibilities 

• Prepare accurate and timely client financial statements, tax returns, management reports and BAS statements  
• Ensure statutory and internal deadlines are met and work is compliant with applicable laws and standards  
• Provide financial and tax information to Managers and Reviewers for review  
• Attend weekly work in progress meetings and provide clear updates on job status  
• Client relationship management, including responding to client emails within one business day and providing realistic timeframes for completion of work 

Ideal Candidate 

• 2+ years’ accountancy experience (public practice experience preferred)  
• Degree in Accounting or Finance  
• CA or CPA (completed or working towards)  
• Detail focused, organised and reliable with strong time management and the ability to manage competing priorities  
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and able to build positive working relationships with clients and colleagues  

Systems experience 

• Xero, MYOB 
• BGL 360, MYOB AE, CAS (highly desirable) 
• Intermediate MS Office
