Support Worker

About the role

A reliable, dependable Support Worker role covering 2 regular nights a week to start. The client base is growing, so there is a genuine opportunity to pick up more hours and build toward ongoing, regular work. This role is ideal for those after a steady, regular commitment with room to grow hours over time. You'll be supporting clients across the service area from Victor Harbor through to Adelaide and up to Mount Barker, so a willingness to travel and a reliable car are essential.

Key responsibilities

• Providing in-home personal care and daily living support

• Assisting with domestic tasks, meal preparation and medication prompts

• Supporting clients to get out and about - appointments, shopping, social activities

• Encouraging independence, dignity and choice for every client

• Working across the service area, with the flexibility to pick up extra shifts as hours grow

• Keeping accurate notes and communicating clearly with the team

About you

• Reliable availability for 2 nights a week, and openness to more hours as they come

• Current driver's licence and a reliable, insured vehicle

• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)

• National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)

• Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain)

• Working with Children's Check (or willingness to obtain)

• Good communication skills and a warm, respectful, can-do attitude

• Manual Handling certificate (or willingness to obtain)

• The right to work in Australia

• Desirable: Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing/Disability) or equivalent

• Desirable: Previous experience in aged care, disability or community support

• Desirable: Experience supporting clients with a range of needs
