About the role
General Equipment Operator (Urban Landscapes)
Full-time – Ongoing
Position Number: 4218 Location: Queanbeyan
The Package: $1,221.10 - $1,349.36 gross per week + 12% super. (Evaluated as Grade 4 of the QPRC Salary System 2026) and Award increases of 4% in 2027-28 and 4% in 2028-2029.
Full-time – 38 hours per week. 9-day fortnight conditions will apply.

In this role you will:
· Maintain and enhance parks, gardens, and streetscapes through tasks like lawn mowing, tree care, planting and weed management.
· Operate and maintain Council’s vehicles and equipment for a variety of urban landscaping and maintenance tasks.
· Undertake routine cleaning, litter control and graffiti removal of public facilities, BBQ areas, sports facilities and parks and gardens.
We are looking for someone who:
· Demonstrated experience in a similar role or related field, with the ability to perform a wide range of landscaping and maintenance tasks.
· Possess and maintains a current class ‘C’ Drivers licence and White Card.
· Can effectively plan and prioritise tasks to achieve outcomes within set deadlines, with a strong commitment to a team culture and a ‘can-do’ attitude.
