About the role
We are seeking a Registered Nurse - Aged Care to join our team at our Findon SA facility on a part-time basis. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents by providing compassionate nursing care in a supportive residential environment. As a Registered Nurse in aged care, you will play an essential role in our team, delivering clinical expertise, emotional support and professional advocacy to our residents whilst working collaboratively with multidisciplinary staff to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.
Key responsibilities
Providing direct nursing care to residents, including but not limited to medication administration, wound management, clinical documentation and health monitoring
Assessing residents' healthcare needs and developing individualised care plans in collaboration with the wider clinical and multi disciplinary care team
Monitoring residents' physical and mental health, recognising changes in condition and responding appropriately
Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation and resident records in accordance with regulatory requirements
Communicating effectively with residents, families and colleagues to ensure coordinated, resident focused approach care
Promoting residents' independence and dignity whilst assisting with activities of daily living as required
Identifying and escalating any safeguarding concerns or changes in health status to appropriate team members
Contributing to a safe, respectful and inclusive care environment
What we're looking for
Current registration with AHPRA and the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Nurse
Demonstrated experience working in aged care nursing or similar healthcare settings
Strong knowledge of aged care principles, including understanding of common health conditions affecting older adults
Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills
Compassionate, resident focused approach to care delivery
Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with residents, families and colleagues
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
Commitment to maintaining professional standards and continuing professional development
Working knowledge of relevant aged care legislation and standards
High standard of clinical IT systems
