Role: Permit Issuer

As a Permit Issuer, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring high-risk work activities are conducted safely and in accordance with site procedures, legislative requirements, and client expectations.

You will be responsible for issuing, monitoring, and managing permits for high-risk work activities, helping to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Issue and manage permits for high-risk work activities, including Confined Space Entry, Working at Heights, and Hot Work

• Inspect work areas and verify conditions before issuing permits

• Review SWMS, risk assessments, and work instructions to ensure compliance

• Conduct workplace inspections and monitor permit compliance throughout activities

• Identify hazards and implement appropriate risk controls

• Liaise with work crews, supervisors, and clients to coordinate safe execution of work

• Maintain accurate permit records and documentation in accordance with company procedures

• Promote safety as a core value and actively contribute to a positive safety culture

• Adhere to HRMS Quality, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems

• Foster professional communication between contractors, clients, and the HRMS/TankQ team

• Participate in toolbox meetings, training, and ongoing competency development

• Computer competence is required for this role. 

Essential Role Requirements: 

• White Card

• Issue Work Permits

• Work Safely at Heights

• Confine small emergencies in a facility/First Attack Fire Fighting

• Gas Test Atmospheres

• Enter & Work in Confined Spaces

This is a casual position with a variety of hours available.

Shifts can provide a full time income or be scheduled around your existing commitments—perfect if you have a primary job or work on a roster.
