SPECIALIST MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST

Dr Chris Hornsby Ophthalmology is actively seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to provide administration, reception, and patient care.  

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our friendly, dynamic team in a full-time or part-time capacity minimum of 32.5hrs.

If you enjoy a fast-paced busy environment this position is for you.   We are looking for experienced candidates who are focused on providing outstanding patient care.  Experience in Medical Administration is preferred. We believe in offering training and support to the right candidate with the right attitude.  You must possess intermediate to advanced computer skills, flexibility and enjoy working in a team.

Applicants who display the following skills are invited to apply:

• Reception/secretarial experience working in a Medical Practice

• Previous high level customer service experience

• Experience and knowledge of patient billing – both Medicare and private health funds

• Microsoft 365 knowledge 

• Intermediate IT skills 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Key duties will include but will not be limited to:

• Reception

• Customer relations

• Scheduling patient appointments

• Taking incoming telephone calls and assisting patients

• Distribution of medical correspondence

• Patient billing and receipting
