About the role

Reporting to the Product Development Manager, the Electromechanical Controls Engineer will support new product development activities, provide technical expertise across the business, and contribute to innovative electrical and IoT solutions for our portable and stationary product range.
Some of your key responsibilities
Support electrical engineering activities relating to new product development.
Provide technical support and advice to Sales and Service teams.
Develop and support IoT applications, data management strategies and prototype solutions.
Support controller development and data stream integration for equipment.
Create and maintain electrical and mechanical drawings using NX and other company systems.
Supervise electrical testing activities in Melbourne.
Provide support for branch electrical system upgrades.
Investigate engineering issues, identify root causes and implement practical solutions.
Support senior engineers on engineering projects and travel as required to support business and customer needs.
A little about you
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 7 years' experience in an electrical engineering role.
Strong knowledge of three-phase power systems, control circuit design and programming logic.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and develop effective solutions.
Experience using 2D and 3D CAD software, ideally NX or similar.
Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills.
Experience with BOM management, electrical compliance standards, fault calculations or battery management systems will be highly regarded.
